Celebrate Our Seniors: A No-Prep, Legacy-Building Lesson That Will Stick With Your Students for Years

By Michelle Robinson, Gifted Ed Solutions

The end of the school year always brings a mix of emotions: relief, pride, exhaustion, and a dash of what do I do with these last few days?!

If you’ve ever found yourself thinking, "I want something meaningful, not just another filler activity…",you’re going to love my Celebrate Our Seniors lesson.

This no-prep activity helps seniors reflect on their growth and give advice in six key categories (academic, campus life, friendships, dating, juggling it all, and important traits). Meanwhile, underclassmen get to celebrate their seniors by sharing memories, encouragement, and how those older students have inspired them.

And let me tell you—the results will give you goosebumps.

In my small GATE pull-out class, my seniors actually teared up. I was so impressed at the thought my underclassmen put into each answer.

🌟 Why Teachers (and Students) Love This Lesson

Zero prep: Everything is ready for you in a simple Canva template—just print or assign digitally.

Promotes leadership: Seniors pass down wisdom to guide the next generation.

Builds community: Underclassmen share how they’ve been inspired and how they’ll continue the group’s legacy.

Nurtures reflection and growth: Both seniors and underclassmen gain a deeper understanding of their educational journey.

Memorable moments: Students often recall this as one of their favorite activities of the year.

As one teacher told me, “I thought it would be a quick little activity. My students turned it into a full-on celebration!”

📝 What’s Included?

Your download includes:
